Eponine

Eponine is a very frightened young and small cat who is living far from the city centre, in a neighbourhood full of aggressive and difficult to approach cats, mainly male, and where people do not seem to care for cats to start trusting in people and have a better life.
For the past couple of months, Eponine has started to approach our feeding spot, but she is so frightened and stressed that she grabs a bite, and she runs away with it, to eat. It is devastating that she cannot even eat without fear. At least, she now knows that in a certain place, she can always find food. A couple of times only last week, depending on who else is there eating, we watched her eating more than one bite at a time. We hope that spaying will help her to be left alone by the many aggressive male cats in the area, that hopefully she will start feeling that she can stay around the feeding spot and that we shall “built” a strong bond with this lovely kitten.
