February 4, 2025Fivos is a tabby male cat at around 5 years old. Fivos is blind. He is one of those street ghosts that appear in the dark and move almost invisibly. Fivos had a very serious eye infection. After many attempts to catch him as he was very scared, he was hospitalized at the veterinary clinic in order to save his eyes. However, the condition was irreversible and he underwent surgery. His whiskers were knotted, the toes on his feet were crooked. At first we were in despair because Fivos didn’t let us approach him. He was afraid and feral how would such a cat go outside again? And where could he be fostered? We were gave him time and Fivos suddenly calmed down. After a long period of recovery, now he is fine. He moves around his foster home without any difficulty like any kitty who can see. He enjoys the warmth of his soft bed and the caresses of his temporary foster mum. His whiskers have straightened and he needs a little care for his nails because if they grow too long he cannot unclaw them due to the anatomy of his fingers. He also needs frequent monitoring and care of his ears and gums. It’s obvious he’s been through a lot out there. He is very quiet, sociable and gets along well with the other cats in the foster home. We hope that there is a forever home for him somewhere and someone who will love and take care of him.
