Present purrfect!

To mark World Animal Day on October 4, Purina launched a special campaign on their page NIAOY, offering a meal for a Nine Lives Greece stray cat for every single share the page received.

Thanks to this campaign, and to all our Facebook friends who shared the link, we received a wonderfully generous donation of Friskies food. The next day, many of the 300 cats in the colonies that we feed every day in Plaka, Omonia and Zappeio were enjoying a whisker-licking good feast. In addition, the sachets of moist treats have proved an irresistible lure for the unneutered cats we needed to trap and take to the vet!

We are so grateful to Purina for taking their corporate social responsibility commitment so seriously towards the strays, and for making Christmas come early for the stray cats!
